Dan, I bought home a very nice old WCM. When I did the deal before I left for America, the gentleman Phil Kenny of Oklahoma City, found out that I was going to be in Belleville Kansas for the Midget Nationals. He said that he would like to meet me and that he and his wife would drive to Wichita Kansas, 1/2 way to Belleville, if I would drive down. So that's what we did. I drove the 2.5 hrs to Wichita with SSME 1/4 scale members Jeff Griffith, Terry Bennett and his wife Rena. We all met up at Famous Daves Barbeque Diner and we finished the deal over lunch. It was a good day. We saw some terrific old photos of Phil when he was deeply involved with 1/4 scale. He had lots of wonderful stories as well. Sadly his eyesight has gone and that's why he is sellling all his gear. His wife actually drove the car to Wichita. Also picked up a few bits and pieces for my Gilmer from Jan. He was extremely generous.

Just received an email with Jan's latest car attached. LOL....the email wasn't from Jan...he doesn't believe in all that new fangled stuff. This may be one of last cars ever produced.......
Here's The Man, checking out his handywork.....

I've moved these photos across from another place, as I'm trying to get Jan to have at look at this thread about his midgets. He has a good friend that is assisting me in this endeavour, as Jan doesn't own a computer.... Thanks Pat! One of the rare occassions when there were 6 Gilmer midgets together.....Alyssa Casey seen here, in what looks like Q Scale heaven.

The latest Gilmer to grace these pages. This car has taken 18 months and a trip to Howard Lake Minesota to finally get to this stage. My Jeffreson/Gilmer is finally finished. A big thanks to Jan Gilmer for his assistance in getting his original creation to this stage.

Greg, Sadly it's only a static model. Budget does not extend to a running Offy
