This Jan Gilmer midget is listed on ebay for US$4100. Some time ago I posted the car on this Forum at its list price of US$5100.....hmmm...$1000 drop....keep watching this space as the price may drop even further and with the Australian dollar being so strong... ..it may reach a realistic price.. ...although, what is a realistic price for such a rare car!!!

The midget above is now down to $3500....$2000 below the original asking price. Methinks old Jan was a bit too optomistic to start with.

Thought I'd include these for Bob J's photo collection. Not sure if you've seen them before. Attachments:

Bob Not sure where they came from. Had a stack of them on my computer and it was getting a bit slow, so I thought I'd stick them here before I deleted them. I have them saved on a disk somewhere too. I think a trip to see Jan Gilmour would be pretty interesting. I'd love to see what they have stashed away.

Here's a story..... A guy in the America bought 2 Gilmers 20 years ago. He kept one and gave the other to a friend. Yesterday Jay went back to the friend and reclaimed his 2nd car. Here's the crap photo of the Gilmer as he collected it, probably from a mobile phone...............good story though. I have a yellow #34...wonder if it's the car before mine?
Check the 1st page of this thread to see the car in its heyday!

Bob Interesting that Jan would sell them all off and not keep a few special cars. If he's just about used up all the parts he had then it looks like they're now a limited item. Would still have been very interesting to meet the man himself and hear of his stories. That's something you just couldn't buy. Those wheels are pretty neat. Did you bring any souvenirs home? I love the pics you've posted of Conley's shop. That would've been one amazing sight itself, and worth the airfare alone. Dan
