Been hunting around for photos of off-set Super Modifieds. Anyone got any others. Seems like a lot of these projects get started and never finished! DARN!
These bottom 2 photos from noted QSACer Fred Murry.

During the course of the weekend I managed to get hold of some Delara Promotional material. This was from Richard Anderson via Mark Davis. How good is this Super Mod?

Over on the QSL site Big Maestro said this car came together from some parts laying around in his shop. I'm pretty certain I could look all around my place and not come close to the parts to produce this beauty..........

I saw this Delara modified at Gary Conley's shop. I emailed Gary recently and said as he was doing nothing with it, I'd take it off his hands for the market price. He came straight back to me with a NO THANKS.Bugger! But he added I'm on on the short list if it ever comes on the market. He wants to drop one of his V8s into the car.

One more for the thread. The most amazing thing about this one, is that it resides in central NSW! I'm suspecting there are not many of these in the country.

Looks awesome. When we get more members would be a good class with open 30cc motors.

I finally got my latest 1/4 scale acquisition home this morning. A big thanks to Mike Casey of QSL, for his fast work in the purchasing and shipping of this wonderful super modified.

Good question Greg, I'm going to fabricate new panels and wing to resemble the car in the Phoenix Arrow promo photo that the company released, all those years ago. The current black Steve Packwood panels and wing will be retained and stored.

The famous Gary Delara Offset Super Modified is currently on the market to the highest bidder. The high bid so far is US$12500....that's twelve and and half thousand people.. What!!!!!! Puts me out of the race....

Found this on the net. No wonder they didn't move many Phoenix Supers. This is from 1992 and the cost is $2095.

Further to the post above re cost of Phoenix Bullet...this came up in a search... "Tracked down the Phoenix Arrow clutch bell and housing ! Racers usually swapped them out for the plastic Skellenger ones, for weight saving! From what Lance has told me, 30 to 40 sprinters made and 10 or so super mods !" At the price quoted, no wonder!

Now here is a real find..... A 1/4 scaler in the 'States found this car on Craiglist. He purchased it, then wanted to know what it really was. I saw his question and made some inquiries today with the people that made QD cars back in the day. They confirmed it's a very rare Quickdraw Super Modified. Not many were produced. They cannot remember how many, as the 1/4 craze was dying in America and sales had slumped. Why did this class of car die? They are so COOOOOOOL and performed better the sprintcars, because of the CG. Most of the tracks then were Asphalt for NASCARS, so these cars fitted in perfectly.
