Can i use a XRC on road chassis as a late model? It is the same as the off road XRC. What tyres do you use on late model cars. thanks for any help. Guy

Hi Guy The sedan class is 1/4 scale and the xrc is 1/5 witch does not meet the specs for this class. check out home page for specs. technicaly thats not true nothing in the rules against the use of baja type chassis long its a metal chassis and the base of all the baja type chassis are all metal eg alloy 2 wheel independent drive is allowed independent suspension is allowed to me the way the rules read the is no reason why he cannot use a XRC base to build his sedan aslong as the body dosnt exceed the rules cheers Reece

Guy and Spud
You should both look at the specs a bit closer, they state the wheelbase at 24 to 26 inches for a quarter scale sedan, that converts to 610 to 660 mm., is not the wheelbase of an xrc 520 mm.
You may be able to use the workings of an xrc and fit them to a chassis that meets the required size to be classed quarter scale or even extend it as some have done, but in its standard form I also feel that it would not comply.
Please read all the spec, not just a few favourable points.
