HI FELLOW 1/4 SCALERS WE FINALLY HAD OUR FIRST ACTUAL RACE MEETING TODAY BEING SAT 30TH, WE HAD 10 SPRINTCARS ON HAND AND 2 AMCAS & 3 MODIFEID RODS. THE RACING WAS FAR BETTER THAN EXPECTED WITH 3 ROUND OF HEATS & A FINAL. THE FIRST EVER HEAT WAS WON BY RON (VALVOLINE/HILINE CHASSIS) WILLIAMS. IT WAS GOOD TO SEE ALL THE NEW BULLSEYES ON SHOW. WE HAD FAIR AMOUNT OF SPECTATORS VERY INTERESTED IN ALL CLASSES. THE FEATURE RACE WAS WON BY BRIAN ( JACATAC RACE WINGS/HILINE CHASSIS)WILLIAMS. IT WAS OUR FIRST GO @ RUNNING A MEETING & I THINK IT WAS A SUCCESS, LOOKING FORWARD TO THE NEXT MEETING IN THREE WEEKS.

Just had a long phone call from Brian re his post. He sounds like an excited teenager after their successful 1st..ish race meeting yesterday. He's hoping to post photos soon and maybe with a little help from Ronnie Griffin. Interest north of the border is at an all-time high....and they still haven't got a truly permanent facility yet. When they finally get a track, he reckons 1/4 scale speedway racing in QLD will explode. As their Chief Steward yesterday, he was apparently very good with a whistle....maybe he should be known as the "Headmaster" from now on.

How good does QLD 1/4 Scale racing look....Pretty healthy, I suggest. Look forward to racing against the QLD pack....especially the Bullseye QLD 77. BJ Bullet N77
