Yes Peter, it was great to see the roll up. I'd like to thank Terry Bennett of Bullet Racecars for the kind offer to race his #42 speedcar. That Smartech was the original speedcar with the 1st ever body produced for the class. I didn't have much luck with it though. It had not started in probably 3 years and there were a miriade of problems associated with that very fact. Still I managed to be part of the Show, and that's the main thing. It's still a terrific class for newbies to learn the craft of 1/4 scale dirt speedway racing.

Those speedcars (midgets as they are formally known ) were an absolute blast to drive, and having also raced a top marker quarter scale sprintcar to 3rd place in the 2006 NSW title, I can honestly tell you that the midgets are the hardest car to drive. Without the added power to drive out of corners due to the restrictor plate, and the lack of the rear wing that the AMCA's, and Sprintcars have, forces you to be concentrating the entire length of the race to keep the midgets straight! In saying that though, they teach you how to handle the cars properly, on a range of different track types, making it very fun! Strongly recommend this division for new comers!
