Yesterday Tom Allen VP of RC4WD, based in California, spent a couple of hours at my home, talking all things RC. Although his main topic was doing exploratory work on 1/4 scale sprint cars and all the associated running gear required to make them go. Tom had never seen a 1/4 scale sprint car up close until yesterday and was very impressed by their simplicity of design and also the beauty of a set of Skellenger knock-offs. He took away many, many photos and was even looking to purchase one of my cars, though sadly I had to inform him none were for sale.
Down the track there may be something positive coming from this meeting, who knows?
Tom is in Australia checking out and talking with people involved in the Rock Crawling scene and to host and compete in RC4WD show at Nelson Bay over the weekend.
