Back in early 2006 Trevor Daley, Joe Daley and I went to Avalon Raceway to check out there new 1/4 scale track. Trev, Joe and I put on a display for track promoter Jeff Drew and he was impressed and wanted us to bring the Luddenham club down to Avalon on a semi regular basis. The logistics were all too hard and realistically it was a fair tow for a race meeting. Even though we were used to travelling to Grandview Speedway at Whittlesea, it was a lot further, so it died a death. This is what the track looks like today. A far cry from what we saw all those years ago.

Its ashamed bob , the sport could be big in NSW and VIC as I would of travelled to VIC but I was told by the NSW president in 2015 and NSW rep that my motor didn't comply with the australian national rules, yet I'm still waiting for them to prove me WRONG .... That's why the sport will never move forward while you have these people in power ..,,

This is what the track looked like when I last visited the place in 2013, on the way home from the "Classic". Looks a whole lot better now.

Matt, Great to hear from you mate. There's slim a chance I may race. It's not easy for me to do these days, due to a variety of reasons. If racing is out of the question, I was thinking I should bring some of my collectible 1/4 scale cars for a display.
