Some more wheels from BRP Inc. This was a run that just didn't sell and that totally surprised Todd. They are water dipped carbon fibre. These were a gift from Todd. I bought some brand new slicks to go around them.

Bob: Beautiful wheels. Shame about the carbon fibre ones not catching on, I had no idea BRP even made them.

Kaye, I don't think anyone knew about them. I certainly have never seen them on his website. I told Todd that he would sell many more of the carbon fibre rims and sets of Halibrands if he advertised them. His reply was he just doesn't have the time to update the site....he's just way too busy. He told me this will likely be the busiest January in the history of BRP Inc. He is thinking he may have to hire someone soon to keep up with the orders. Speaking of the Halibrand wheels... the only way I found out they were available was when I saw them on Bill Mesler's beautiful Gilmer midget, a couple of years back. What about these...... hand Laser Cut treads. They would have been too expensive to produce, so he didn't go ahead with them. As I showed some interest in them, he presented to me as we were about to head back to Tulsa. What an amazingly generous man. Went through my files and found Bill's beautiful Gilmer with the Halbrand wheels.

Bob:
Well then we know 1/4 scale is alive and kicking, more than kicking by the sound of BRP's January schedule!

Hi Bob, Fine wheels you have there, I've had Bishop Racing Products bookmarked for a long time but as you point out never knew they produced & sold wheels..... So what would a set of wheels & tyres like these cost us folk in Australasia? Another site with nice looking wheels is www.firstquarterracing.com - do you know anything about them? Cheers Fraser

Mate, Good luck with getting anything from Ed Berube at First Quarter Racing. He's been around for years and has an ability not to deliver. Get on to the QSL website and go to the Forum page 'Car Discussion' thread on Ed. Lots of comments there and make up your own mind. Ed's had the site FQR for years and it has a less than ordinary reputation. The Halibrand wheels/tyres in my post will set you back US$550ish plus shipping. Talk to Todd, he is a wonderfully generous man, who went out of his way with Jason Griffith and me. Todd sells all sorts of things, however as he explained to me, just doesn't have the time to upgrade his website. I only found out about them through posts on QSL. He and his wife Sharon are superb people who really looked after us, during our stay with them. This is me with Todd in his shop in Springdale Arkansas
