I have been onto Air New Zealand and like all airlines that might be a mistake to talk to them. I talked to Chris O'Connor from HBLSS who went to your Aussie comps a few years ago and he did the following. Removed the lipo, Motor and fuel tank and shipped it separately. Then made a coffin for the car to go in and took it with him. Chris said It is fine if your guys ship your bits to him. his email is chris@gasworkz.co.nz.
Failing that the airlines said to talk to a freight forwarder.

We have been working hard getting ready for the Champs. We now have a container to keep all our gear in and we have a Marshall lighting system being finished this weekend, quite cool really any of the three marshalls can stop the race but only the head marshall up in the tower can restart. Our drivers stand gets lengthened in the next couple of weeks to make room for us fatties. All in all we are ready to host the New Zealand champs coming up on the 23rd to the 25th October.So far we have nine cars coming from Austrailia, It's not to late to enter and the committee has decided that any competitors coming across the ditch do not have to pay an entry fee as we believe that those that are coming have made a big enough financial commitment to come. We are also endeavouring to billet out any competitors coming to help reduce cost. Attachments:
