Hi guys just wondering what material everyone is using for crash bars I've made some from 1/4 inch 316 stainless bar but they seem heavy any suggestions ? best regards Tj

Hi Tj I think you are close to the mark. I would rather replace bars than repair a chassis if they dont give enought. Ive only used 3/16 bright mild steel. Good luck

Cheers laurie, I will have to re assess my crash bars 3/16 sounds a bit better I went with what ever would fit snug inside the 10mm tube. The Id was about 7mm it seemed like a no brainer. Best regards Tj
