Hi Guys
our club has been speaking with the QLD Club and the below has been proposed for the East Coast Challenge to change it up a bit.
ROUND 1- day 1 (8th June - Sydney)
Day 1 is the first half of the ECC with the 2nd part to be held in Brisbane on 3rd & 4th August (this was decided upon some time ago)this will decide the winner who will have the most wins. So to win member's must obviously race at both events in Sydney and Brisbane.
ROUND 1 - day 2 (9th June - Sydney)
in place of having the ECC over 2x days we would run the ECC on the first day and a 'State of Origin' on the 2nd day with a Team type event along the lines of the Speedway world cup.
ROUND 2 - day 1 (3rd August- Elimbah QLD) event format as above ROUND 2 -Day 2 (4th August - Elimbah QLD) event format as above
THE BIG questions is for day 2 to work we need to know how many Sprintcars and dirt mod drivers from Sydney will commit to racing in both Sydney and Brisbane to setup teams for a State or Origin event. (unfortunately QLD at the moment don't have Speedcars, AMCA's or sedans.
Please let me know ASAP by pm, phone (0415552668) or email robhod66@bigpond.com. if you can commit.
Cheers Rob

Hi SSME members
We have Jim McCabe also.
Is there anyone else who can commit to attending racing in both NSW and QLD?
Need to know by the end of this week.

Hi All
The East Coast Challenge will consist of 4x 1 day full meetings with a final each day. 2x in Sydney and 2x in QLD.
The ECC Champion for Sprintcars and Dirt mods will be the person with the most wins over the 4x 1 day events.
So in Sydney we will have all classes racing as per any club event however the ECC Champion is only for Sprintcars and Dirt mods at this time.
More details will follow soon

Guys just to clarify all classes are racing this coming weekend. However as QLD current don't have speedcars, AMCA's or sedans the East Coast Challenge Championship is only for Sprintcars and Dirt mods. Next year there will be other classes as they come online in QLD.
