Can anyone tell me why the total length of the speedcars is set to 850mm. To build an almost scale car it should be a little longer to show a bit more tail as it is too short at the moment.
It is not possible to shorten the front so could this maximum length rule be changed as it would not affect the performance of the car bu would certainly make look a lot better.

If you want to replicate the real thing build it from scratch and not use a buggy

Les you are a man after my own heart. Just imagine if the speed car rules were the same as sprintcar specs, must resemble a vintage or modern midget, give us a length width, height and motor capacity and leave the rest up to us.
When Terry Bennet designed the midget it was a cheap wat to get people into the sport but now you can buy a Baja clone for 500 dollars stick a plastic Bobby on it and go racing. That's why Queensland has about 100 members with dirt mods.

There is a Quarter scale Speedcar in Perth and it is fitted with a 23cc motor.
