Is it still buggy specs or is it now dirt mod specs. The specs say that any 2 wheel drive 1/5 buggy can be used with a dirt mod body, can anyone tell me if this is so.

Thanks for clearing that up but on point remains. Can we still built a dirt mod using a different buggy as long as it is only using two rear wheels to drive the car. I remember when Peter Roger came out with the xrc car and developed a body for it which was the forerunner to the dirt mod. I believe that it is good to experiment and come up with new ideas It is fine to change the buggy section to dirt mods as long as we are not restricted to using only the Baja or its clones, it is quite possible that a better and possibly cheaper buggy may surface. As long as the current style dirt mod body is used what does it matter as long as the motor restrictions exists. You only have to look at sprintcars and you will see that although they look the same they are vastly different under the skin, it is the design and development that makes this hobby so great it would become very boring if we were to all drive the exact same vehicle. Under the current buggy rules it states that ant 1/5th buggy can be used as Long as it is only two wheel drive. Please don't change this.

At the the club meeting last year, when car specs were discussed, it was decided that a maximum width be put in place,to accommodate rear and front wheel spacers. I used my dirt mod as an example and took the measurements off that. I sent an email to Laurie with the details, see if I still have it, if so will forward it on to you. Greg N30
