Early this morning I received a SMS from Robert Coombes telling me of the passing of Keith...Nobby ...Noble. Nobby, along with John Cooper, were probably the 1st to build 1/4 scale RC sprintcars in Australia, about 25 years ago. I was lucky enough to spend time with Nobby at the Warrnambool Classic, this last January and be with him in Knoxville in August 2010, as a travelling companion.' I class Nobby as a good mate and one of 1/4 scales most informative characters. RIP my friend BJ

Very sad news indeed and most of us have known Nobby for many years and his passion for all things sprintcars and Q scale was huge. He will be sadly missed by many and all I can say is watch this spot.

Nobby's Funeral arrangements. This from Penfield member Paul Cain.
Hello again, I have been advised that Nobby will be having a private funeral/cremation. He has asked that his ashes be spread at Penfield but Pat has said that this may not happen for a few months. As you probably know, we have a rose garden and a plaque honouring members who have passed. When the time comes I am sure we will do something special to honour Nobby's involvement in the club and in Quarterscale Speedway as a whole. Regards, Paul

I heard the news Friday morning whilst driving to Brisbane with work-Nobby to me was a great mate having travelled to Knoxville with him a few times.it was him who got me into quarterscale back in 95 and whilst racing for the first time he came up alongside me on the stand and says to me ' better then sex isn't it 'that's how he was

Nobby was a great man Jeff. We announced his passing yesterday & we had one minute silence before the Sprintcar A-Main.
RIP Nobby

Rob Coombs recently sent this photo from the memorial day for "Nobby Noble" at Penfield Model Park.
