Ex LQSS member Jeff Cooke wanted to make a statement about 1/4 scale sprintcars. He built this trailer for the long tow to Adelaide in 2004. We had people nearly driving off the road when they saw this rig. It was amazing to watch the reactions as people tried to overtake us. This pic taken at Coolaman NSW...just north of the middle of nowhere! Middle of the NSW near HAY on the way back and the action is tight, as a nasty looking pack of sprinters are all trying to muscle past Jeff Cooke's Commodore. To his credit Cookey held his form for the next 600klms and just managed to beat 'em home!....Bob Jeffreson photos

Bob, you forgot to mention when the lid of the trailer came off on the way to Whittlesea, and the sprintcars went sliding down the Hume Highway!

Oh F##K... do I remember that.... As I said "Jeff always wanted to make a statement"..... Man did we catch everyones attention...... 10:30pm, on a friday night on the Hume Highway near Goulburn, trailer lid lets go and 2 sprinters still bolted to the lid, were sliding along the highway in a shower of sparks....in the path of the oncoming B-Doubles........surprizily and luckily not a single sprintcar was hurt in that event....what a night! We raced the cars the next morning at Whittlesea VIC....
