In 2003 LQSS was a different place when this cheeky bastard came to race!
And there's Ron... back in black.... Dean Laspina raced at the 2005 Australian 1/4 Scale Sprintcar Title at Whittlesea VIC. Where did he finish ... somebody help please? ? Brian O'Shannessy built a personal drivers stand for Deano. How good was that! The rest of the competitors made their own arrangements on the communal drivers stand!!

....But who as Chief Steward, had the unenviable task of putting him to the rear, at one stage in the Australian Speedcar Final, for overdriving

 from what I remember, Dean came 2nd in the B-MAIN as he pushed me sideways over the start finish line to win the B-Main as they only took the first 2 from the B to the A-main, so Dean and myself started 2nd last and last in the A, and yes Dean finished 5th, with myself Im sure, either 6th or 7th....... anyway, it was great fun, and Dean was on fire that night..... I still the remember the urgent Pee Dean just had to take before the B-main, and how he held us while his dad helped to do the business, lol..... Damn its sad to hear of his passing  Brett Finucane.
