Just a quick one to see what anyone runs or prefers. Do people make their own custom kits to suit or is there something on the market??

Gaday Mick Mate I run a FG servo saver as per the one in the pick on the right With this FG version you can Pre set the amount of force needed before it gives way by the amount of O rings used . Here is also a pick of how its setup in my son's car . As for price you can pick them up of ebay for about $20 used . If you need to know anything just let me know :)Brad

ok, thanks for your help guys. I think i might need to re-assess this situation anyhow because my servo doesn't mount facing down like it appears everyone else's does. Mine faces forwards I will have to sit down and nut it out once i have one in front of me

thanks for all your help guys. I still haven't bought a kit yet. Hopefully this weekend. This is what i am left with right now. Its an old Matt Turner chassis, Bob, you may recognise this style of chassis. I just struggle to see how it was setup with a servo saver. you need to move the servo behind the plate and the servo saver of the fg will fit fine in the place were the hole is in the middle of that bent v shape bar hope this helps

you are spot on jezza and mix510 I still race matt turner chassis and the fg s/svaer fits between the lug with the hole in it and the bent strap with the hole in it but you need a double sided servo horn(blue piece) on the front of the servo. and have 2 links down from the servo saver to the servo. I just sold a sprintcar to rick myers up there and his sprintcar has exactly the same system. Shame you have put coilovers on it though.

Install done be Chuck and I. Hard work and research done by the members of this forum!! Just wanted to say thanks for your help everyone, we're in business now. A couple of slight mods were needed and it fitted straight into the original mounts. Just need to tighten everything up, works great and looks pretty cool too. 2012-04-05 18.40.43 by lpower510, on Flickr 2012-04-05 18.40.33 by lpower510, on Flickr

Here is another option. I went this way on my build because I could use high speed servos for fast steering response and still have plenty of power. Plus the insurence of two servos and servo savers. I also liked how much "throw" this setup had....I could really crank the wheels if need be to keep from spinning out. Attachments:
