Back in the day a Company out of Phoenix Arizona built hot 1/4 scale sprintcars and Super Modifieds. Full running gear was by Skellenger. The were sprung with torsion bars. Lately I've become very interested in old 1/4 scale Supers. They don't appear on the market all that often. This is the Super Mod they produced. A field of these low slung beauties, with off-set motors and wide Bishop Slick tyres on a banked asphalt track, would certainly be a sight!

Greg There was a superb concrete velodrome at Camperdown, not 5 minutes for where I live. I used to go and watch a mate of mine run in the bike races there in the 1980s, way before I got involved in 1/4 scale. Way too big for 1/4 scale cars...but the banking was just awesome. By the time I got the balls to take the sprinter to the track ...it had been filled in and turned into a park...bugger! BTW... those bike races on a Friday night were more exciting than a Feature Race at Sydney Speedway.....and probably more carnage.
