Jim Connolly phoned today to tell me of the the new dirt track he built in Knoxville Iowa last year before he returned to Perth. The owner of the facility, just down the road from the Knoxville Raceway, hopes to run an International 1/4 scale sprintcar show during the Knoxville Nationals week. Today has been a very busy day for me , re calls about what's happening in 1/4 scale in the United States.

From the address that Connolly gave me, this appears to be the track he is talking about.

This barely visible outline of a track is another in Knoxville that didn't get off the ground. It was in an ideal situation. Right at the end of the Slideways Go Kart facility. The drivers stand is still there. Jeff and spent a while walking around the area, wondering why it didn't happen. It was still really well banked. I have some photos somewhere.
