I've often heard about a Company in the USA called McMasters Carr. They are a very large Engineering supply outfit. Throught the week I tried to order some parts for my Gilmer resto. Jan Gilmer uses their parts also. This is the email that came back after they accepted my order..... Bob, Due to the complexity of U.S. Export regulations, McMaster-Carr has decided to only accept orders from a few, long-established customers of ours overseas. We will not accept your order and regret any inconvenience this causes you. Your order has been cancelled and your credit card was not charged.

Have you ever heard so much crap!!!My suggestion is give them a wide berth...they don't want our business.

I would've thought any business is good business if you're making a suitable margin on it. Why would any company turn away clients, particularly in the retail sector. That has to be a fast track to bankruptcy. I would concur Bob, give them a wide berth. In this day and age there are generally a few competitors that offer the same product, just try to find one of them.

Quite often it's difficult to even get U.S. suppliers to ship to Canada. Nuts or what??
