Good to see Raff Jeliche ( former Aust. Quarter scale sprintcar champ, from the late 90's) rejoin the SSME last open day. He was piloting a buggy on the new buggy track, and hopefully back on the ovals soon. After paying his membership fee, he was heard mumbling something about inflation!!

I echo those sentiments Paul. Raff was never one to run for 2nd place, when he drove the John May sprinter. I can recall the momumental racing duels he had with Matt Turner. They took no prisoners. He'd be a terrific addition to the LQSS ranks. I must say it's great too see this section on the LQSS Forum. And thanks to Ron for helping out! It created lots of interesting discussion on the now defunct AQSSA site and I trust it will achieve the same here!
I suspect that Kristen and I will have a ball here.
Did Raff's Aussie Title happen at Ararat, Vic in 1997?

Raff was famous for the moveable top wing during races. ( servo driven ). When asked after a race how was it, he said " I don't know, I don't have time to press the button, and even if I did, I don't know which way the wing will move!" ;D

HAHA....You're dead right Paul! I think he also said that he needed an extra thumb to work the 3rd channell.
