Hi All, I hope you don't mind me posting in your forum I'm out at Campbelltown and have built a miniature jet dragster, ~1/5 scale and would like to know if I could bring it along to your track early next year to show people. It's ~6ft long, has a 20lb static thrust turbine plus a real "working afterburner", makes plenty of fire and noise too. Has been clocked at just over 143kmh at the WSID drag strip and has plenty more left in it..! I know it's not a speedway machine but you guys are the only people around who have larger scale machines. Just though I'd let you know about it. I realize I cannot run it around the track but I at least would like to bring it over for you guys to have a looksee..! All the best, Smithy. ;D

Hey Guys,
I'm still planning to drop over tomorrow to have a look at the speedway racing, I was out at the track last week for the open day and brought my little dragster out for a bit of a play, the on-off rain didn't help much though. First time I had been there too.
I must say, I was very impressed with the layout of the grounds and friendliness of all the members I spoke to, very accommodating indeed, thanks to all for that, what a great bunch of people.
I had a chance to fire up the little turbine powered dragster a few times over at the boat pond during the day, it was the only bit of cover I could find out of the rain which was not too close to people, the little car seems to pull a small crowd every time I fire her up too. I don't have a fold up table so I was happy to see a few fixed tables there not being used around the place.
I had a good walk around the grounds and was able to look at most of the facility, much more there than I had initially thought, I'll be bringing my elderly father in-law out during the next open day, he'd love to see all the trains and stationary steam engines etc....
Hopefully the weather won't be too bad for your race day and for the people who have travelled a long way to be there to race.
I look forward to watching some great racing.
Best to all.
Cheers, Smithy.

Hey All, Just though I'd let you know I've nearly finished my latest project, many of you have seen the 1/5th scale turbine machine I have had at the track a couple of times, (with the kind assistance of Jose and Bob Jeffreson). Well....I now have a new "1/4 scale" beast nearly ready to fire up, hopefully it will fart into life this coming weekend. The engine in this machine has ~2 times the thrust of the 1/5th scale machine and the car itself is 2.30meters long and will weigh ~12-12.5kg all fueled up and ready to run. Enjoy, Cheers, Smithy. We are more than happy to see you and your models any time. Thanks also for making it clear to many of us that we have been drinking jet fuel, it now clears up a lot of my issues!!!
