In 1974, 15 years before downtubes became the norm, a guy named Carmen Manzardo built this "sprinter" and raced it at Knoxville. It apparently went really well.... just didn't win any awards for looks!

He actaully built another one later on that was even weirder it was called the compresion brige car or something like that

Here's another Carmen Manzardo creation!.
As with the car posted above.....this one is not the prettiest sprinter ever built either!

Have a look at the head through the visor.Makes the car look pretty.Was going to comment on his heritage but might upset someone.lol
