Yes, I saw that...should have been at the other end I would have thought. Other than that, the place looks pretty neat!

Jezza, What we are saying is that there shouldn't be an opening a this end! It doesn't look like it swings shut. Mark and I can see someone driving off turn 4...getting bite on the left and wooshka......straight through that opening. They will eventually learn as Sydney, Perth, Whittlesea and Adelaide did.....to close the track off...if there is an opening, no matter how small, a 1/4 scale racecar at speed will find it.BTW..... the Nationals were run on saturday...do you think I can find a result anywhere...nothing...it's unbelieveable... When Rob Lowe won the Australian Title in Perth in 2007, I had the results almost immediately thanks to an SMS from Rick Triplett...and I was in Egypt, cruising down the Nile!

Finally after I did some asking they posted the results....
1st 2H Holloway, Todd
2nd #5 Pipchock, Jonny
3rd #22S Smreker, Dave
4th #18S Smreker, Chris
5th #21 Thompson, Jason
6th #2AU Connolly, Jim
7th #24 Sadler, Mike
8th#0 Hopson, Larry
9th #48 Pipchock, Murry
10th #11 Benton, Ray
Terrific result for Connolly
Looks like they started 14 cars in The A main...10 qualified and 4 bumped up from the B...a big field. Fastest lap in "A" was 7.733 ..which to me seems pretty quick around that track.

Jeff Griffith arrives late at Timberline for the Nationals.....What? He and Nobby must have got lost..... ..or left Knoxville late??? Quote from Fred Murry, Jeff's car owner......
"Unfortunate that my driver and his mechanic did not arrive until just prior to the second heat race. As I had not been able to set the car up for him, he choose not to try and race an ill handling car. He did not want to take out anyone so he just watched. Maybe I can get him hooked up on pavement at Knoxville. I'm going to try." Tell me this cannot be so Jeff!

I saw that the fast times around Timberline were in the 7.7s bracket. Having looked at the photo, I asked Dave the owner how long his track was around the pole line. He got back to me this morning with 106 metres......... Whoa... ... 106m in 7.7 secs. That place must have a lot more banking than appears in the photos. LQSS goes 82m and quick time is 8.2......the Kansas track is 20metres longer and 1/2 a sec quicker....... they certainly get up and boogie around Timberline Raceway. BTW...nice comment about LQSS on the QSAC website from Jeff's USA owner, Fred Murry.......
Track looks real nice. I wish I liked racing on dirt. I went to the dirt nationals at Timberline raceway and I may have to try it one more time and see if it is any better than the first time I tried it. With a properly prepared track it looks fun. You track is looking awesome. __________________ Fred Murry PIT ROAD RACING

Hi everybody just got time and around to catching up on the net after the nationals....we had a blast and everything went fairly good....there was 10 cars in the A main 6 locked in and 4 bumps from the B....not to start a debate but we rolled the track in the middle at 329 I know Dave's wheel shows more but it looks and drives and gears like 300 ish the way you get around it which helps explain the 7 second laps...it does have alot of bite when the moisture is just right and is for sure a lot of fun to race on with a couple good lines
