For those that have never had the pleasure of racing at Brian O'Shannessy's wonderful track, consider this.....the cars can come off the track looking like this, on the odd occasion!
Mal Paton didn't care.......he'd just finished 3rd in the 2003 Victorian 1/4 Scale Sprintcar Title.

We will have to get Robert Coombs to post a Whittlesea race calendar. I'd like as many people as possible to go en masse for a race meeting or two. Be great if we could get 8 or so sprintcars going south. Be just like the old "Interstate Challenge" days.i

Fantastic......Clinton and Shazz...
That's about 8 1/4 scale cars in itself....... 
I'll be there in a flash....that's 1 sprintcar..plus an AMCA
Peter Rodger....1 sprintcar...plus a sedan
Clinton and Shazz Mckenzie...must have 2 sprintcars, plus a trailer load of cars
That's 4 sprintcars...plus extras...
Who else is interested?...

That's 6 sprintcars pencilled in, so far.
Looking back to the covered pits and beyond. Photo Ron GriffinThis photo also from the 2003 Vic Title. The comments regarding the photo said that....
" a storm hit the track for a short time. The cars are all the same colour, brown. Pity the poor lapscorers!"

Our racing weekends are the same as yours ie 2nd and 4th w/ends of the month. However I am working on a couple of race dates for the '09 OQSA Vic titles and Grandview Classic. Tentative dates are the June long w/end and the SA/NSW long w/end in Oct. These dates need to be confirmed with the venue promoters and unfortunately due to the bushfires and family and relatives now residing on the property no accomodation is available onsite. When the dates have been clarified on way or the other I will let you know.

Re accommodation guys...
I, along with quite a few interstate racers, have many times enjoyed the hospitality of Cheryl, Cheryl and John at the Australiana Motel and Caravan Park in Wandang on ph#03 578 71401
It's about 15 minutes from the track.

The race meeting planned for October 3/4 at Grandview Speedway in Whittlesea has been given the green light!!! 2 days of action with the OQSA Vic Titles on sat with the Sprintcar Classic on sunday. At this stage the support class will be late bodied speedcars.
