Firstly I am glad its over, once again, what a learning curve, but it was sure worth it.
People to thank, Clinton and Sharon McKenzie, two more dedicated commited individuals I am yet to meet, by my side no matter what was asked or needed. Peter Rodger, travelled from Canberra every weekend since January 4 to help achieve what we did to the facilities at the track. Brett Anderson (Ando) who just happened to drive past the track most days on his way home in case we where working so he could stop and lend a hand. All the members and family that came and lent a hand at the work bees.
Without all of you, we would not have had the facilities we had to offer our guests last weekend.
Special thanks to Bob Jeffreson for volunteering to steward the meeting for all of us that competed. A thankless job that makes you question yourself as to why you do it every time you are asked. I know that not all agreed with his every decisions, but next time you don't agree, before you engage your mouth, you should ask yourself, "How could I tell a mate that he stuffed up and has to go to the rear of the field and maybe spoil his whole day", not and easy call, do you think you could do it, for that reason and that reason alone, he should have been given the utpost of respect. Maybe a few apologies are forthcoming Bob, thanks again for your special effort.
Also thanks to Ronnie Griffin, another thankless job, but very much appreciated that you gave up your time to look after the computer for us.
Thanks to the kids that helped in cooking some good if not great meals that I am sure went down well.
Next for all the competitors. Our guests from Queensland, Western Australia and Victoria, I appreciate the effort that you all made to commit to making the trip concidering the weather reports of the previous week. I would not have blamed anyone for wanting to stay home, champion effort by all.
To all the LQSS lot, great competitors, great hosts, great companions to spend such a lousy weekend with weather wise.
Congratulations to all the winners and all that competed. I don't think that there was one looser out there all weekend, for all to hang in there concidering the weather and the track we had to run on, you are all champions in my eyes.
Thanks to the sponsors, RJR Kitchens, Hi-Torque Truck Spares and Truckmate.
Even though I was truly out of juice by Sunday night, now with a days rest behind me, I am very proud of what the NSW club and all its members achieved last weekend.
Thanks for all the support I got throughout the weekend, this I might regret but, I am looking forward to putting on another show for one and all. Maybe we can break the record of Sprintcars attending yet again.
Sincerely, thanks to all.
