Arrived home last night from Warrnambool after 2 days of "Classic" sprintcar racing. Some of the past and present Quarter scale racers in attendance were Jeff Griffith, Bill Drew, Frank Adam, Keith Noble, Mal Paton, Matt Turner, Dave and Kristen Smith and myself. Whittlesea lap scorers Jan and Dave Andrews were also there. I'm sure I saw Clinton on the infield with Ian Madsen....just before Ian tore up the car all by himself. Probably others... ...missed them in the huge crowd! If you get the chance, take yourself to the Classic. Two nights of the best racing you will ever see anywhere. The 6 Features races in the last 3 years have resulted in a total of I think, 3 stoppages.... amazing racing and a credit to the track and drivers. The atmosphere is tremendous with the place at about "lock out" stage on sunday night. Only 2 issues with the weekend. The saturday night Feature was green flagged off at 1:00 am sunday morning, when the temperature was 7c . Sh!te..even I was cold The sunday Feature wasn't much better, waved away at 12:10 am monday morning, when the temperaure was a positively balmy 10 degrees!! American Shane Stewart put on a clinic for sprintcar fans, as he won both nights and picked up 36 large! Shane StewartPhil Jordison
